The Planning and Zoning Committee makes recommendations for all matters originating from the initiation of economic development projects, board of adjustments requests and granting of variances, transportation and parking strategies, and all other city planning and zoning issues in the City.
This Committee may collaborate with the Regional Planning Commission and other entities that specialize in strategic planning for municipalities upon approval of the Council. This Committee also recommends appointments to the Board of Adjustments.
