The Finance & Revenue Committee is to make recommendations regarding all financial matters of the City of Fairfield, significant passage of a balanced budget annually, according to fiscal year pre-requisites.
The Committee consults with the City Manager to receive financial documents and other pertinent financial information. Recommendations, expenditures and appropriations, will be considered by the Council for approval. The Chairperson of the Finance Committee schedules hearings on the proposed fiscal year budget and other issues that may impact the City’s financial stability. This Committee recommends policies related to financial matters affecting departments to the Council for approval.
